How to sale to a company



Research the company. Start by picking a company in the Direct Selling Association because it requires member companies to meet a standard of service and ethics. Check with the attorney general and the Better Business Bureau in the company's state to learn about complaints and how the company resolved them.

Ask what the startup fee includes. Getting started in direct sales can cost as little as $10 and as much as $500. Whatever the investment, find out what it covers, such as membership, marketing tools, website, sample products and training.
